Meeting Format

The RDG was founded in January, 2014.

The initial meeting format will be to decide the topic by consensus of those in attendance at that time. As a list of topics is generated, a more structured lecture series will be developed.

All meetings will provide an opportunity for members to ask questions. Answers will be given as time allows, according to that meetings format. Some answers may need to be given at a later meeting, as an announced topic.

One suggested format is to have a rolling monthly structure, as follows:

• 1st Sunday
  • Topic Decided by Consensus
    • The group meeting that day will decide what to discuss or explore that day. This is basically an "Open Meeting" format.
• 2nd Sunday
  • Member Presented Topic
    • Every member will have the opportunity to present and demonstrate a topic of their choice... with a discussion to follow.
• 3rd & 4th Sundays
  • Ongoing Topics presented by Skilled Technicians.
    • This will be a series of topics on commonly available technology, with demonstrations and explanations on the potential of what it can do.
• 5th Sundays
  • Emerging Technology
    • While not the only days dedicated to advanced and emerging tech, these days will be exclusively dedicated to this topic.

The above is a proposal for now (Jan-2014). As the group grows and evolves, a different meeting format may be adopted.

Be prepared for change. In the Tech World, change occurs are an alarming rate of speed. If you want to immerse yourself in technology, you have to be prepared for a lot of change, and options.
